About Us

The Student Organizations Finance Office (SOFO) supports the success of Georgia Tech’s Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) by serving as their trusted financial partner on campus. Acting as each organization’s bookkeeper, SOFO helps manage dues collection, fundraising, expenditures, travel planning, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.

Each year, SOFO oversees the financial administration, accounting, and budgeting of more than 600 RSOs with a combined budget of nearly $10 million. We also work closely with the Student Government Association (SGA) to manage budget allocations and bill distribution throughout the fiscal year.

Beyond financial processing, SOFO is committed to building student leaders’ financial literacy. We provide training workshops for executive board members and offer personalized guidance on fiscal responsibility, budget management, and organizational purchases. All processes are aligned with Georgia Tech and University System of Georgia Board of Regents policies and guidelines.

At SOFO, our mission is to ensure student organizations have the financial support, resources, and knowledge they need to thrive.
